• Account Manager
Led a three person team and represented this staffing agency to its largest client (a fruit and vegetable processing facility). Was responsible for managing 400+ employees in the combined capacity of Supervisor, Manager, HR, etc. Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training/orientation, payroll, compiling data and producing reports concerning efficiency, productivity, turnover, labor costs as a percentage of production, cases, and revenue.
Secretary of the Safety Committee formed to implement procedures to reduce the risk of injuries and workers compensation claims.
Developed innovative means of customizing ‘Novatime’ software to meet the client company’s specific needs regarding labor costs, time and attendance, payroll verification, and turnover.
8/06-5/07: ProComm Consulting
• Production and Shipping Supervisor
Hired on temporary assignment as Production and Shipping Supervisor in order to improve efficiency and accuracy at both the Bulk Warehouse of Coca Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated and Lance Foods.
At Coca Cola, as the Acting Account Manager and 1st Shift Supervisor, my responsibilities included managing a workforce of over 80 employees in a fast-paced setting. Implementing procedures to increase production and accuracy while reducing overtime hours to achieve a higher profitability ratio. I hired, trained, and oversaw the progress of new employees while cross-training current employees. I was closely involved with Coca Cola management and rapidly earned a high degree of professional respect. (Please see the attached letter of reference from the Coca Cola Warehouse Manager.)
At Lance Foods, I was employed by a contract services company to supervise the third shift production and shipping processes of a large food manufacturing corporation. My responsibilities included supervising three production and loading crews of 8 persons each and to ensure that orders were filled efficiently and accurately and that trucks were sent out for delivery in a timely manner. I was responsible for quality assurance, safety training, human resources issues, payroll logs, daily production reports, and scheduling.
3/27/06-8/11/06: Telaid Industries-Rock Hill, SC
• Corporate Recruiter/Voice and Data Communications
I contributed greatly to the start-up of a new staffing division for this company.
I developed processes and procedures to be utilized for the placement of Voice and Data Cabling Technicians on various nationwide projects for this company and its clients. The main areas of responsibility in this position included locating experienced technicians utilizing various resume posting boards; contacting the technician to ascertain availability and interest in employment; qualifying the technician to ascertain an acceptable experience level and knowledge base; determination of appropriate pay level; delivery and receipt of New Hire Packets; scheduling and management of the technician throughout the project.
I was terminated from this company on August 11, 2006 when it exercised its “at will” employment rights when downsizing in South Carolina.
1/15/06-3/27/06: DataCom Consulting Group-Lancaster, SC
• Corporate Recruiter/Voice and Data Communications

7/97-11/05: American Communications-Puerto Rico
• Operations Manager
Was responsible for coordinating resources while this company built the majority of the modern communications infrastructure on the island of Puerto Rico. Main areas of responsibility included liaising with the different government agencies for permits and inspections; employment of qualified construction personnel; scheduling of resources; procurement of supplies and materials; procurement of company vehicles and equipment; quality control; human resource issues; progress reports; and employee evaluations.
My employment with this company terminated when the principal contract was awarded to a competitor and the owners of American Communications decided to close down rather than pursue other contracts.
4/88-5/97: English Enterprises-Augusta, GA
• Cable Installer/Splicer/Quality Control
Started as an installer of residential cable television services which required scheduling of my installation route; contacting the customer; ascertaining the correct routing for the cable; installing the cable per industry standards and company specifications; customer orientation regarding proper use and functions of the cable service and related equipment; and accurate record keeping upon completion of work orders. This was repeated in various locations throughout the country when the company expanded to different areas.
Was promoted to splicer in the construction division and was required to travel to various projects throughout the country to splice trunk and feeder cables in a new construction atmosphere. Was required to read blueprints and accurately splice the appropriate electronic devices and activate them to the system.
Was later promoted to Quality Control Inspector and transferred to the St. Louis, MO system to ensure that installations were being performed in an appropriate and acceptable manner.
My employment with this company was terminated when I accepted a management position in Puerto Rico where I lived at the time.
12/86-3/88: Antietam Tile Corporation-Severn, MD
• Batch Plant Operator/Logistics Department
Originally started as an operator in the “Batch Plant” for this company that specialized in the manufacture of custom cement panels to be installed on the superficies of high rise buildings. My responsibilities included ensuring that the cement was mixed with the appropriate measurements of mixture and color to provide consistency for each and every panel manufactured. I was later a member of the logistics team and was responsible for maintaining loading and delivery schedules.
