WORK EXPERIENCE
Operations Manager, Road Runner Medical. 2004 - Current
Responsible for overseeing and supervising all operations of a medical facility that employed twenty-five employees. Solicited and negotiated contracts. Assisted in all
phases of the billing and collection process, maintained financial records to
include payroll, timesheets, account payables and receivables, and petty cash, also responsible for enforcing all company policy and procedures.
Office Manager A.C.T.S, Inc. 1999 - 2004
Managed twelve employees. Recruits, trains, evaluates, and counsels staff.
Cross-trains among several areas to supervise and provide adequate coverage.
Established a system to track areas of responsibility, follow-up and deadlines
for multiple projects. Analyzes administrative and operational functions,
implements appropriate changes and system improvements. Assists physicians in medical functions, which may include, but are not limited to, performing blood draws, patient interviews, meetings, responding to internal and external inquiries , and setting up
lectures and presentations. Maintains current knowledge of Medicare billing
procedures; consults with guests to produce super bills and resolve insurance
questions; keeps current on electronic Medical billing. Execute bi-weekly
departmental payroll and maintains accurate payroll records.
Lab Manager, Garry Appelt, MD 1996 - 1999
Perform a variety of routine blood drawing procedures to include veni-puncture,
techniques using standard equipment to include vaccutainer tubes and sleeves,
tourniquets, syringes and butterfly needles. Provide technical training to
Medical Technology students and other students assigned to work area. Confer
with patient to obtain information for laboratory records, explain procedures, perform Ekg’s, monitor vital signs and heart rates as assigned by the doctor.. Utilize standard procedures for the maintenance of positive patient identification; record appropriate collection information on proper requisitions. Perform various quality control procedures to maintain compliance with internal and external regulations. Centrifuge,
label and store blood samples for subsequent analysis by Clinical Laboratory
staff. Maintain inventory of supplies; reorder as needed
