Must be policy-driven, very organized and great with time & task management. This is a full-time hourly position with starting pay-rate of $20.00 per hour. Schedule includes variable hours and some weekends.
Responsible for all aspects of running a research pharmacy.
- Handles the receipt, storage and return to sponsor of drugs and test articles used in clinical investigations (studies)
- Prepares dosage forms for clinical investigations.
- Handles the retention of study drug samples for bioavailability/ bioequivalence studies.
- Files study documents.
- Inspects crash carts and emergency stock on a periodic basis.
- Maintains daily records of storage conditions of study drugs and refrigerator temperatures.
- Oversees any staff assigned to work in pharmacy operations.
- Interacts with other departments.
- Provides general support to the clinical operations department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, plus 10 years of pharmacy experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to work variable hours including some weekends.
- Knowledge of word processing software and spreadsheet software.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program or equivalent with current NV license.
- Current CPR certification is required.
