Ideal candidate will evaluate and treat a variety of patients with different diagnosis (ICU, Med/Surg, Wound Care, Ortho) Communicates appropriately to physicians and hospital staff to collaborate in patient care planning. Recognizes the need to modify treatment approach as needed for changing levels of patient function.
Current Florida licensure for physical therapist
Current BCLS certification
Will consider a new graduate
Our service delivery focus is acute care inpatients and outpatients.
Service population includes adolescences with sports injuries, and adults to geriatric with diagnosis i.e. Orthopedics, Neurological, Musculoskeletal, Wound care, etc.
There are opportunities available in our in-patient service area in the NICU Level III for PT
The rehab services department is very large and spacious and was totally renovated in late 2007.
The rehab department space consists of a total of 22 individual/connected spaces. Physical Therapy space includes the following:
- Staff Room, with individual secured desk space, desktop computers
- Private Evaluation/Consultation Room
- PT Master Exercise/Treatment Gym:
- Private Treatment Area
- Hydro-therapy
- ADL Bathroom
- Private Bathroom
- Pilates Area
- Patient/Family Waiting Room
- Patient/Family Conference Room
The physical therapy department has all new/hi-tech equipment and current supplies for providing patient care/services to assist with reaching the best outcomes. The equipment includes Nautilus, Sci-Fit, Pro-Maxima, Nu-Step, Cateye EC-T220, Pro-Step 6000, Free-Motion Dual Cable Cross System, Biodex Balance System, Computerized Triton DTS Traction, Pilate-Cadillac System and more.
There is excellent workspace throughout the department and outstanding work environment. Our department also consists of other rehab professionals such as OT and SLP located in proximity to physical therapy. We have great teamwork and good intra/interpersonal relationships.
