The Regional Heart & Vascular Institute of Bloomington Hospital in South Central Indiana is seeking a CLINICAL DIRECTOR of CV RECOVERY & CATH LAB PRE/POST UNITS. From the Chest Pain Center, to cardiac surgery, to recovery through cardiovascular and pulmonary rehab, the Regional Heart & Vascular Institute offers the most comprehensive care for patients between Indianapolis and Louisville. A cardiac care leader in the region, The Heart & Vascular Institute offers cardiac and peripheral diagnostic catheterization, with ad hoc angioplasty and stenting; Electrophysiology with 3D mapping capabilities; a Congestive Heart Failure Center; a Pacemaker Clinic; Cardiothoracic surgery and Vascular surgery; a 64-slice CT scanner with cardiac imaging capabilities; cardiac nuclear and echo stress testing; as well as an AACVPR accredited Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation department.

The CLINICAL DIRECTOR of CV RECOVERY & CATH LAB PRE/POST UNITS will be accountable for the 24-hour operation, direction, and facilitation of all aspects of patient care activities on the two clinical areas of the Cardiovascular Recovery Unit (post open heart surgery and PCI with AMI unit) and the cath lab pre/ post procedure area in order to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care.
This position is accountable for the 24 hour operation of two departments. The CLINICAL DIRECTOR must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit. A BSN is required with Master’s-prepared candidates preferred. The selected candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in cardiovascular nursing in a managerial and/or charge-type role. An active, unrestricted Indiana Nursing license is also required.
