Job Description:

 Development System Engineer

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Relocation: Offered

Duration: Contract to hire

Responsible for defining the system level architecture of new audio/video products, including software, hardware and PCBA's. Accountable for the conceptualizing, planning,
defining and implementing the top level functional block design of a new product or system.
Must be familiar with processing of various types of media streams, including digital and audio compression formats such as MPEG1/2/4, H.264, AVC, and VC-1. Experience in audio coding standards such as Dolby Digital, AC-3, AAC, HE-AAC, and Dolby Digital Plus. Experience understanding and implementing designs based on NTSC, ATSC, DVB, MPEG1/2/4and SMPTE standards. Knowledge of DSP design and FPGA implementation experience is a plus.

Requirements:
MPEG-2/DVB, H.264/AVC, VC-1 system experience.
• Up to date digital video system solutions (off-air, DBS, cable, satellite, IP, wireless, etc.)
• Some understanding of video compression technologies and video quality for Standard and High Definition
• Understanding of Conditional Access Systems.
• Understanding of Network Management Systems.
• Experience with digital video manipulation techniques such as Rate Shaping and Digital Program Insertion (DPI) is a plus.

Education:
A BSCS, BSSE, BSEE, or BSEET required, a MS degree a plus.

Experience:
At least 5-10 years in hardware and software product development & troubleshooting required.
