Summary of Position
The Decision Analyst will lead decision tree, MCMC and cost effectiveness analyses that will explore the effect of diagnostic and predictive models on clinical outcomes and costs in various disease areas including cancer, thromboembolism and heart disease. The Decision Analyst will also play a key role in working with the Proventys Software Architects, Engineers and Bioinformaticians to integrate unique decision analysis methods into the Proventys Risk Assessment Architecture for semi-automated population studies and individual decision making. The person in this role will have access to mentorship from numerous thought leaders in health economics, decision analysis and statistics that work with Proventys.
Essential Requirements
• Experience with Decision Tree Analysis
• Experience with Cost Effectiveness Analysis
• Practice with MCMC Modeling
Additional Desired Skills and Experience
• Clinical training
• Statistical training
• Economics training
• Decision Analysis and/or Cost Effectiveness Analysis publications or project experience
• Knowledge of cutting edge techniques in decision sciences
• BA/ BS in public health, MPH, MS, MBA, PhD, or MD a plus
• Experience with Excel, TreeAge and/or Vanguard or other decision analysis tools
• Competency in R, SAS, C/C++
